Vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca | ity uktaḥ prayayau pārthaḥ sainyena mahatā vṛtaḥ | sa-sainyāḥ prayayuḥ sarve dharmarājena pūjitāḥ ||
વૈશંપાયન બોલ્યા—આ રીતે કહેવામાં આવતાં પાર્થ (અર્જુન) વિશાળ સેનાથી ઘેરાઈ પ્રસ્થાન કર્યો. તેમ જ ધર્મરાજ દ્વારા સન્માનિત થઈ અન્ય બધા ભાઈઓ પણ પોતાની-પોતાની સેનાઓ સાથે નીકળી પડ્યા.
