वृष्णियोधाश्ष ते सर्वे गजाश्वरथयोधिन: । न शेकुरावर्तयितुं ह्वियमाणं च तं जनम्,हाथी, घोड़े और रथपर बैठकर युद्ध करनेवाले समस्त वृष्णिसैनिक भी उन डाकुओंके हाथमें पड़े हुए अपने मनुष्योंको लौटा न सके
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
vṛṣṇi-yodhāś ca te sarve gajāśva-ratha-yodhinaḥ |
na śekur āvartayituṃ hriyamāṇaṃ ca taṃ janam ||
વૈશંપાયને કહ્યું—હાથી, ઘોડા અને રથ પર યુદ્ધ કરનારા તે બધા વૃષ્ણિ યોદ્ધાઓ પણ, લૂંટારાઓ દ્વારા હરણ થતા પોતાના જ લોકોને પાછા ફેરવી શક્યા નહીં.
