मौसलोत्पत्तिः — The Birth of the Musala and the Sages’ Pronouncement

अन्वकुर्वन्नुलूकानां सारसा विरुतं तथा । अजा: शिवानां विरुतमन्वकुर्वत भारत,भारत! सारस उल्लुओंकी और बकरे गीदड़ोंकी बोलीकी नकल करने लगे

anvakurvann ulūkānāṃ sārasā virutaṃ tathā | ajāḥ śivānāṃ virutam anvakurvata bhārata bhārata ||

વૈશંપાયન બોલ્યા— હે ભારત, ભારત! સારસ પક્ષીઓ ઘુવડોના હૂંકારની નકલ કરવા લાગ્યા અને બકરાં ગીદડોના રડકારની નકલ કરવા લાગ્યા।
