Shloka 44

दिष्टया जयसि गोविन्द दिष्ट्या शत्रुर्निपातित: । दिष्ट्या गाण्डीवधन्वा च विजयी पाण्डुनन्दन:,“गोविन्द! बड़े भाग्यसे आपकी विजय हुई है। भाग्यसे ही हमारा शत्रु कर्ण आज मार गिराया गया है और सौभाग्यसे ही गाण्डीवधारी पाण्डुनन्दन अर्जुन विजयी हुए हैं!

diṣṭyā jayasi govinda diṣṭyā śatrur nipātitaḥ | diṣṭyā gāṇḍīvadhanvā ca vijayī pāṇḍunandanaḥ ||

સંજય બોલ્યો—ગોવિંદ! મહાસૌભાગ્યથી તમારી જીત થઈ છે; સૌભાગ્યથી જ શત્રુ પાતાળ થયો છે; અને સૌભાગ્યથી જ ગાંડીવધારી પાંડુનંદન અર્જુન વિજયી થયો છે।
