सुदुर्गमा सुविषमा घोरात्यर्थ सुदुर्दशा । रणभूमिरभूद् राजन् महावैतरणी यथा
sudurgamā suviṣamā ghorātyartha sudurdaśā | raṇabhūmir abhūd rājan mahāvaitaraṇī yathā ||
સંજય બોલ્યો—હે રાજન! રણભૂમિ અત્યંત દુર્ગમ, બહુ જ વિષમ અને અતિ ભયંકર બની ગઈ; મહાવિપત્તિનું સ્વરૂપ ધારણ કરીને જાણે મહાવૈતરણી સમી લાગી.
