पर्यस्तानीव शृुड्राणि ससत्त्वानि महागिरे: । धनंजयशराभ्यस्तै: स्तीर्णा भूर्वरवारणै:

Transliteration

paryastānīva śṛṅgāṇi sasattvāni mahāgireḥ | dhanañjayaśarābhyastaiḥ stīrṇā bhūr varavāraṇaiḥ ||

Translation

સંજય બોલ્યો— યુદ્ધભૂમિ એવી જણાતી હતી જાણે સજીવો સહિત મહાપર્વતનાં શિખરો ઉથલાવીને ફેંકી દેવાયા હોય. ધનંજય (અર્જુન)ના બાણોથી આઘાત પામેલા શ્રેષ્ઠ ગજરાજોથી ધરતી છવાઈ ગઈ હતી.
