जिघांसुभिस्तान् कुशल: शरोत्तमान् महाहवे सम्प्रहितान् प्रयत्नतः । शरै: प्रचिच्छेद स पाण्डवस्त्वरन् पराभिनद् वक्षसि चेषुभिस्त्रिभि:
jighāṃsubhis tān kuśalaḥ śarottamān mahāhave samprahitān prayatnataḥ | śaraiḥ praciccheda sa pāṇḍavas tvaran parābhinad vakṣasi ceṣubhis tribhiḥ ||
વધની ઇચ્છાથી આક્રમણ કરનાર તે બધા યોદ્ધાઓએ પ્રયત્નપૂર્વક છોડેલા ઉત્તમ બાણોને મહાસમરમાં યુદ્ધકુશળ પાંડવ અર્જુને તત્કાળ પોતાના બાણોથી કાપી નાંખ્યા; અને પછી આગળ વધીને દરેકની છાતીમાં ત્રણ-ત્રણ બાણ ઘૂસી દીધા.
