Shloka 19
भीमसेन उवाच सूताद्यैनं पश्य भीमप्रयुक्ति: संछिन्दद्धि: पार्थिवानां सुवेगै: । छन्न॑ बाणैराहवं घोररूपं नष्टादित्यं मृत्युलोकेन तुल्यम्,भीमसेन बोले--सूत! आज इस युद्धस्थलकी ओर दृष्टिपात करो। भीमसेनके छोड़े हुए अत्यन्त वेगशाली बाणोंने राजाओंका विनाश करते हुए सारे रणक्षेत्रको आच्छादित कर दिया है, जिससे सूर्य भी अदृश्य हो गये हैं और यह भूमि यमलोकके समान भयंकर प्रतीत होती है
bhīmasena uvāca sūtādya enaṃ paśya bhīmaprayuktiḥ saṃchindaddhiḥ pārthivānāṃ suvegaiḥ | channaṃ bāṇair āhavaṃ ghorarūpaṃ naṣṭādityaṃ mṛtyulokena tulyam ||
ભીમસેન બોલ્યો— “સૂત! આજે આ યુદ્ધભૂમિ તરફ નજર કર. ભીમે છોડેલા અતિ વેગવાન બાણો રાજાઓનો સંહાર કરતા કરતા સમગ્ર रणક્ષેત્રને ઢાંકી ચૂક્યા છે. બાણોના આવરણથી સૂર્ય પણ અદૃશ્ય થયો છે અને આ ધરતી યમલોક સમાન ભયંકર દેખાય છે.”
