Shloka 8

महारथान्‌ नागवरान्‌ हयांश्न पदातिमुख्यानपि च प्रमथ्य । एको भीमो धार्त॑राष्ट्रेषु मग्नः स मामुपालब्धुमरिंदमो5हति,जो शत्रुपक्षके महारथियों, गजराजों, घोड़ों और प्रधान-प्रधान पैदल योद्धाओंको भी रौंदकर दुर्योधनकी सेनाओंमें घुस गये हैं, वे एकमात्र शत्रुदमन भीमसेन ही मुझे उलाहना देनेके अधिकारी हैं

mahārathān nāgavarān hayāṁś ca padātimukhyān api ca pramathya | eko bhīmo dhārtarāṣṭreṣu magnaḥ sa mām upālabdhum ariṁdamo 'rhati ||

શત્રુપક્ષના મહારથીઓ, ગજરાજો, ઘોડાઓ અને મુખ્ય પદાતિઓને પણ ચકનાચૂર કરીને એકલા ભીમ ધાર્તરાષ્ટ્રોની પંક્તિઓમાં ઊંડે સુધી ઘૂસી ગયો છે. એ શત્રુદમન ભીમસેન જ મને ઠપકો આપવા યોગ્ય છે.
