कर्णवधोत्तरं शल्य-दुर्योधनसंवादः

तथैव राज्ञश्न सुयोधनस्य ये वापि मां योद्धुकामा: समेता: । “आज जब ऐसी परिस्थिति है, तब सूतपुत्र कर्ण, राजा दुर्योधन तथा अन्य जो लोग मेरे साथ युद्धकी इच्छासे एकत्र हुए हैं, उन सबके साथ छिड़े हुए इस संग्राममें मैं कौन-सा कार्य कर सकता हूँ
tathaiva rājñaś ca suyodhanasya ye vāpi māṁ yoddhukāmāḥ sametāḥ |
સંજય બોલ્યો—રાજા સુયોધન વિષયે પણ એ જ; અને જે જે લોકો મારી સામે યુદ્ધ કરવાની ઇચ્છાથી અહીં એકત્ર થયા છે—આજે જ્યારે આવી સ્થિતિ છે, ત્યારે સૂતપુત્ર કર્ણ, રાજા દુર્યોધન તથા અન્ય જે લોકો મારી સાથે યુદ્ધ કરવા ઉત્સુક થઈ ભેગા થયા છે, એમની સાથે શરૂ થઈ ગયેલા આ સંગ્રામમાં હું ભલા કયું કાર્ય કરી શકું?
