मृत्योरास्य॑ व्यात्तमिवाभिपद्य प्रभद्रका: कर्णमासाद्य राजन् । रथांस्तु तान् सप्तशतान् निमग्नां- स्तदा कर्ण: प्राहिणोन्मृत्युसझ,राजन! मृत्युके फैले हुए मुँहके समान कर्णके पास पहुँचकर प्रभद्रकगण भारी संकटमें पड़ गये। कर्णने युद्धके समुद्रमें डूबे हुए उन सात सौ रथियोंको तत्काल मृत्युके लोकमें भेज दिया था
mṛtyor āsyaṁ vyāttam ivābhipadya prabhadrakāḥ karṇam āsādya rājan | rathāṁs tu tān saptśatān nimagnāṁs tadā karṇaḥ prāhiṇon mṛtyulokaṁ rājan ||
રાજન, પ્રભદ્રકો મૃત્યુના ફાટેલા મોઢામાં પ્રવેશતા હોય તેમ કર્ણ પર તૂટી પડ્યા અને ઘોર સંકટમાં ફસાયા. ત્યારે કર્ણે યુદ્ધ-સમુદ્રમાં જાણે ડૂબેલા તે સાતસો રથીઓને તત્કાળ મૃત્યુલોકમાં મોકલી દીધા।
