कर्णवधार्थं धनञ्जयस्य प्रतिज्ञा — Arjuna’s resolve for Karṇa’s defeat
पातयामास तानू् सर्वान् दुष्टहस्तीव हस्तिपान् । तब जैसे दुष्ट हाथी महावतोंको नीचे गिरा देता है, उसी प्रकार भगवान् श्रीकृष्णने अपनी दोनों बाँहें झटककर उन सब लोगोंको युद्धके मुहानेपर नीचे गिरा दिया
pātayāmāsa tānū sarvān duṣṭa-hastīva hastipān |
સંજય બોલ્યો—જેમ દुष્ટ હાથી મહાવતને જમીન પર પાડી દે, તેમ તેણે તેઓ સૌને નીચે પાડી દીધા. એ જ રીતે ભગવાન શ્રીકૃષ્ણે પોતાની બંને ભુજાઓ જોરથી ઝટકીને યુદ્ધના મુખે તેઓ સૌને ધરાશાયી કરી દીધા.
