Adhyāya 41 — Kṛṣṇa’s Battlefield Briefing and the Renewal of the Great Engagement
कि त्वं मूर्ख: प्रसभं मूढचेता ममावोच: पौरुष॑ फाल्गुनस्य । “मैं इस युद्धस्थलमें क्षत्रियोंके समाजमें बड़े हर्ष और उल्लासके साथ पाए्दुपुत्र अर्जुनके उत्साहका वर्णन कर सकता हूँ। तुम्हारे मनमें तो मूढ़ता भरी हुई है। तुम मूर्ख हो। फिर तुमने मुझसे अर्जुनके पुरुषार्थका हठपूर्वक वर्णन क्यों किया है?
ki tvaṁ mūrkhaḥ prasabhaṁ mūḍhacetā mamāvocaḥ pauruṣaṁ phālgunasya |
સંજયે કહ્યું—હે મૂર્ખ! મોહગ્રસ્ત ચિત્તથી તું કેમ હઠપૂર્વક મારી પાસે ફાલ્ગુન અર્જુનના પૌરુષનું વર્ણન કરાવ્યું? આ યુદ્ધભૂમિમાં ક્ષત્રિયોના સમૂહ વચ્ચે હું મહાન હર્ષ અને ઉલ્લાસથી પાંડુપુત્ર અર્જુનનો ઉત્સાહ અને વીર્ય વર્ણવી શકું છું; પરંતુ તારો મન તો મૂઢતાથી ભરેલો છે—તો પછી તું કેમ જિદ્દ કરીને મારી પાસે અર્જુનના પરાક્રમનો વર્તાંત માગ્યો?
