Karṇa’s Pressure on the Pāñcālas; Duryodhana Disabled; Arjuna’s Counter-Advance
कुर्वाणा विविधान् रावानाशंसन्तो जयं तथा । वे दो-दो घड़ीपर बारंबार उड़-उड़कर कहते--'देखो
kurvāṇā vividhān rāvān āśaṃsanto jayaṃ tathā |
કાગડાં વિવિધ કઠોર કાગારવ કરતાં કરતાં પોતાના પક્ષની જીતની વારંવાર ઘોષણા કરવા લાગ્યાં. તેઓ વારંવાર ઉપર-નીચે ઉડીને ઠઠ્ઠા કરતાં બોલ્યાં—“જો, આ કાગડાની ઉડાન, તે કાગડાની ઉડાન!” એમ કહી તેઓ હંસોનું ઉપહાસ કરતા અને તેમને કટુ વચનો સંભળાવતા. સાથે જ કાગડાંની વિજય માટે શુભાશંસા કરતા, અનેક પ્રકારના સ્વરમાં બબડતાં, ક્યારેક વૃક્ષની ડાળીઓ પરથી ધરતી પર અને ક્યારેક ધરતી પરથી ડાળીઓ પર—અધો-ઊર્ધ્વ ચંચળતાથી ઉડ્યા કરતા; અવાજાળાં, અસ્થિર અને મહાનને અપમાનિત કરવા તત્પર.
