एवमुक्तस्तथेत्युक्त्वा सोडनुजज्ञे नृपोत्तमान्‌ तेडनुज्ञाता नृपा: सर्वे स्वानि वेश्मानि भेजिरे,कर्णके ऐसा कहनेपर दुर्योधनने “तथास्तु” कहकर समस्त श्रेष्ठ राजाओंको विश्रामके लिये जानेकी आज्ञा दी। आज्ञा पाकर वे सब नरेश अपने-अपने शिविरोंमें चले गये

evam uktas tathety uktvā so 'nujajñe nṛpottamān | te 'nujñātā nṛpāḥ sarve svāni veśmāni bhejire ||

આ રીતે કહ્યા પછી દુર્યોધને “તથાસ્તુ” કહી શ્રેષ્ઠ રાજાઓને વિશ્રામ માટે જવાની પરવાનગી આપી. પરવાનગી મળતાં તે બધા નરેશો પોતાના-પોતાના શિબિરોમાં પાછા ગયા.
