धृतराष्ट्रस्य मूर्च्छा स्त्रीणां च आर्तनादः

वीर्यवन्तः कृतास्त्राश्च द्रक्ष्यथाद्य परस्परम् “आप सभी योद्धाओंमेंसे प्रत्येक वीर रणभूमिमें सेनासहित पाण्डवोंको मार डालनेकी शक्ति रखता है। फिर जब आपलोग संगठित होकर युद्ध करें तो क्या नहीं कर सकते हैं? आप पराक्रमी और अस्त्रविद्याके विद्वान् हैं; अतः आज एक-दूसरेको अपना-अपना पुरुषार्थ दिखावें'
vīryavantaḥ kṛtāstrāś ca drakṣyathādya parasparam |
સંજય બોલ્યો—આજે તમે પરસ્પર સામસામે એવા યોધ્ધાઓને જોશો, જે પરાક્રમમાં પ્રબળ અને શસ્ત્રવિદ્યામાં પૂર્ણ પ્રશિક્ષિત છે. તમામાંથી દરેક પોતપોતાની સેનાસહિત પાંડવોને મારવા સમર્થ છે; તો પછી શિસ્તબદ્ધ એકતાથી યુદ્ધ કરો તો શું અશક્ય રહેશે? તેથી તમે શૂરવીર અને અસ્ત્રવિદ્યામાં નિપુણ છો—આજે દરેક પોતપોતો પુરુષાર્થ પ્રગટ કરો.
