केचिद् भिन्ना विषाणाग्रै्िन्नकुम्भाश्न तोमरै: । विनदन्तो<5 भ्यधावन्त गर्जमाना घना इव
sañjaya uvāca | kecid bhinnā viṣāṇāgrair bhinnakumbhāś ca tomaraiḥ | vinadanto 'bhyadhāvanta garjamānā ghanā iva ||
કેટલાંક હાથીઓના દાંતના અગ્રભાગ તૂટી ચીરાઈ રહ્યા હતા; કેટલાંકના કુંભસ્થળ તોમરોના ઘા થી ફાટી ગયા હતા. તેઓ ચીસો પાડતા, ઘનગર્જના જેવા ગર્જતા, ગભરાઈને ઇधर-ઉधर દોડી રહ્યા હતા।
