स तेषां प्रवरान् योधान् हस्त्यश्वरथसादिन: । जघान समरे शूरो धार्तराष्ट्रानाचेन्तयन्,शूरवीर भीमसेन आपके पुत्रोंकी तनिक भी परवा न करते हुए हाथी, घोड़े एवं रथपर बैठकर युद्ध करनेवाले कौरवोंके मुख्य-मुख्य योद्धाओंको समर-भूमिमें मारने लगे
sa teṣāṁ pravarān yodhān hastyaśvarathasādinaḥ | jaghāna samare śūro dhārtarāṣṭrān acintayan ||
સંજય બોલ્યો—ધૃતરાષ્ટ્રના પુત્રોની જરાય ચિંતા કર્યા વિના શૂરવીર ભીમસેને સમરભૂમિમાં હાથી, ઘોડા અને રથ પર લડતા કૌરવોના અગ્રગણ્ય યોદ્ધાઓને ઘાયલ કરી ધરાશાયી કરવા માંડ્યા।
