Description of the Dvīpa, Varṣas, and Mount Meru
सर्वकामफल: पुण्य: सिद्धचारणसेवित: । तस्य नाम्ना समाख्यातो जम्बूद्वीप: सनातन:,वह समस्त मनोवांछित फलोंको देनेवाला, पवित्र तथा सिद्धों और चारणोंका आश्रय है। उसीके नामपर यह सनातन प्रदेश जम्बूद्वीपके नामसे विख्यात है
sarvakāmaphalaḥ puṇyaḥ siddhacāraṇasevitaḥ | tasya nāmnā samākhyāto jambūdvīpaḥ sanātanaḥ ||
તે પવિત્ર છે, સર્વ ઇચ્છિત ફળો આપનાર છે અને સિદ્ધો તથા ચારણો દ્વારા સેવિત છે. તેના જ નામ પરથી આ સનાતન પ્રદેશ ‘જંબૂદ્વીપ’ તરીકે પ્રસિદ્ધ થયો છે.
