जयं प्राप्तेषु हृष्टेु पाण्डवेषु महात्मसु । सर्वधर्मविशेषज्ञ: पिता देवव्रतस्तव
sañjaya uvāca | jayaṃ prāpteṣu hṛṣṭeṣu pāṇḍaveṣu mahātmasu | sarvadharmaviśeṣajñaḥ pitā devavratas tava |
સંજયે કહ્યું—મહાત્મા પાંડવો જય પ્રાપ્ત કરીને હર્ષિત થયા ત્યારે, સર્વ ધર્મોના વિશેષજ્ઞ તમારા પિતૃવ્ય દેવવ્રત (ભીષ્મ) એ વેગવાન અને પ્રબળ શરોથી પાંડવ સેનાપર ચઢાઈ કરી. તેમની સાથે મહાસેના આગળ વધી અને તમારા પુત્રોએ ચારે તરફથી તેમની રક્ષા કરી.
