भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ६२: वासुदेवमहात्म्यप्रशंसा (देव–ब्रह्मसंवादः)
अद्य पाण्डुसुतानेक: ससैन्यान् सह बन्धुभि: । सो<हं निवारयिष्यामि सर्वलोकस्य पश्यत:,“आज मैं अकेला ही सबके देखते-देखते सेना और बन्धुओंसहित समस्त पाण्डवोंको आगे बढ़नेसे रोक दूँगा'
adya pāṇḍusutānekaḥ sasainyān saha bandhubhiḥ | so'haṃ nivārayiṣyāmi sarvalokasya paśyataḥ ||
આજે હું એકલો જ, સર્વ લોકો જોઈ રહ્યા હોય તેમ, સૈન્ય અને બંધુઓ સહિત પાંડુના પુત્રોને આગળ વધતા અટકાવી દઈશ.
