भीमसेनस्य गदायुद्ध-प्रभावः
The Battlefield Impact of Bhīmasena’s Mace Combat
(ततः सरथनागाश्चा जयं प्राप्प ससोमका: । पज्चाला: पाण्डवाश्रैव प्रणेदुश्चव पुनः पुनः ।। प्रययु: शिबिरायैव धनंजयपुरस्कृता: । वादित्रघोषै: संहृष्टा: प्रनृत्यन्तो महारथा: ।।) तदनन्तर रथ, हाथी और घोड़ोंसहित सोमक, पांचाल तथा पाण्डववीर विजय पाकर बारंबार सिंहनाद करने लगे। वे सभी महारथी विजयसूचक वाद्योंकी ध्वनिके साथ अत्यन्त हर्षमें भरकर नाचने लगे और अर्जुनको आगे करके शिविरकी ओर चल दिये। ततो<वहार: सैन्यानां तव तेषां च भारत । अस्तं गच्छति सूर्येड भूत् संध्याकाले च वर्तति,भारत! इस प्रकार सूर्यके अस्ताचलको चले जानेपर संध्याके समय आपकी और पाण्डवोंकी सेनाएँ लौट आयीं

prayayuḥ śibirāyaiva dhanañjaya-puraskṛtāḥ |
vāditra-ghoṣaiḥ saṃhṛṣṭāḥ pranṛtyanto mahā-rathāḥ ||
tato ’vahāraḥ sainyānāṃ tava teṣāṃ ca bhārata |
astaṃ gacchati sūrye ’bhūt sandhyā-kāle ca vartati ||
ત્યારબાદ રથ, હાથી અને ઘોડાં સહિત સોમક, પાંચાલ તથા પાંડવવીરોએ વિજય મેળવી વારંવાર સિંહનાદ કર્યો. ધનંજય અર્જુનને આગળ રાખીને તે મહારથીઓ વિજયવાદ્યોના ઘોષથી અત્યંત હર્ષિત થઈ નૃત્ય કરતા-કરતા શિબિર તરફ ચાલ્યા. પછી, હે ભારત! સૂર્ય અસ્ત ગયો અને સંધ્યાકાળ આવ્યો ત્યારે તમારી અને તેમની—બન્ને સેનાઓ યુદ્ધભૂમિમાંથી પાછી ફરી.
