ततः पुनरमेयात्मा भारद्वाज: प्रतापवान्‌ | शरै: प्रच्छादयामास धृष्टद्युम्नममर्षणम्‌,तदनन्तर अमेय आत्मबलसे सम्पन्न प्रतापी द्रोणाचार्यने पुनः अमर्षशील धृष्टद्युम्नको अपने बाणोंसे ढक दिया

tataḥ punar ameyātmā bhāradvājaḥ pratāpavān | śaraiḥ pracchādayāmāsa dhṛṣṭadyumnam amarṣaṇam ||

ત્યારબાદ ફરી અપરિમિત આત્મબળ ધરાવતા પ્રતિાપી ભારદ્વાજપુત્ર દ્રોણે અડગ ધૃષ્ટદ્યુમ્નને બાણોથી ઢાંકી દીધો।
