विकर्णस्तु सुतस्तुभ्यं सुतसोम॑ महाबलम् । अभ्ययाज्जवनैरश्वैस्ततो युद्धमवर्तत,आपके पुत्र विकर्णने तेज चलनेवाले घोड़ोंद्वारा महाबली सुतसोमपर धावा किया। तत्पश्चात् उनमें भारी युद्ध होने लगा
vikarṇas tu sutas tubhyaṃ sutasomaṃ mahābalam | abhyayāj javanaiḥ aśvaiḥ tato yuddham avartata ||
તમારો પુત્ર વિકર્ણ ઝડપી ઘોડાઓ સાથે મહાબલી સુતસોમ પર ધસી ગયો. ત્યાર પછી તેમના વચ્ચે ઘોર યુદ્ધ શરૂ થયું.
संजय उवाच
