Viśvarūpa-darśana (The Vision of the Universal Form) — महायोगेश्वरस्य विश्वरूपदर्शनम्

यदि कोई अतिशय दुराचारी भी अनन्यभावसे मेरा भक्त होकर मुझको भजता हैः तो वह साधु ही माननेयोग्य है; क्योंकि वह यथार्थ निश्चयवाला है। अर्थात्‌ उसने भलीभाँति निश्चय कर लिया है कि परमेश्वरके भजनके समान अन्य कुछ भी नहीं हैः ।। क्षिप्रं भवति धर्मात्मा शश्वच्छान्तिं निगच्छति । कौन्तेय प्रति जानीहि न मे भक्त: प्रणश्यति,वह शीघ्र ही धर्मात्मा हो जाता है और सदा रहनेवाली परम शान्तिको प्राप्त होता है।। हे अर्जुन! तू निश्चयपूर्वक सत्य जानः कि मेरा भक्त नष्ट नहीं होता3

api cet sudurācāro bhajate mām ananya-bhāk | sādhur eva sa mantavyaḥ samyag vyavasito hi saḥ || kṣipraṁ bhavati dharmātmā śaśvac-chāntiṁ nigacchati | kaunteya pratijānīhi na me bhaktaḥ praṇaśyati ||

તે शीઘ્રે ધર્માત્મા બને છે અને શાશ્વત શાંતિને પ્રાપ્ત કરે છે. હે કૌન્તેય! નિશ્ચયપૂર્વક જાણ—મારો ભક્ત નષ્ટ થતો નથી.

Educational Q&A

Exclusive devotion (ananya-bhakti) has transformative power: even someone with a troubled past, if sincerely and single-mindedly devoted, should be regarded as rightly resolved, will soon become aligned with dharma, attain lasting peace, and is assured divine protection—“My devotee does not perish.”

Within the Gītā’s instruction on the battlefield, the Lord gives Arjuna a strong reassurance about spiritual refuge: sincere devotion overrides prior moral failure by reorienting the person’s resolve, leading to rapid ethical renewal and enduring peace, and culminating in a pledge of the devotee’s ultimate safety.
