Chapter 19: Prativyūha of the Pāṇḍavas — Vajra (Acala) Formation and Dawn Omens
bhīmaseno gadāṃ bibhrad vajrasāramayīṃ dṛḍhām | caran vegena mahatā samudram api śoṣayet ||
The verse underscores how, in a dharma-war, extraordinary personal power is portrayed as world-shaking; it invites reflection on the ethical weight of such force—strength must be aligned with righteous purpose, not mere aggression.
Sañjaya describes Bhīma advancing on the battlefield with a massive, adamantine mace; his speed and energy are exaggerated poetically to suggest that his charge is irresistible and terrifying to opponents.
