तस्य कीर्तिमतस्तात पुरा रामेण धीमता
tasya kīrtimatas tāta purā rāmeṇa dhīmatā |
સંજયે કહ્યું—હે તાત! પૂર્વકાળે પરમ બુદ્ધિમાન રામ (પરશુરામ) એ તે કીર્તિમાન ભીષ્મને જે શત્રુ-સેનાનો વિનાશ કરનાર અસ્ત્ર-શિક્ષા આપી હતી, તેનો આશ્રય લઈને કુરુકુલના વૃદ્ધ પિતામહ, શત્રુવીરોના સંહારક ભીષ્મ પાંડવપક્ષની સેનામાં દરરોજ દસ હજાર મુખ્ય યોદ્ધાઓનો વધ કરતા રહ્યા.
