भीमसेनस्य बहुमहारथसंयुगः

चापैश्वन बहुधा च्छिन्नैः समास्तीर्यत मेदिनी । माननीय प्रजानाथ! वरूथोंसहित टूटे हुए रथ
cāpaiś ca bahudhā chinnaiḥ samāstīryata medinī |
સંજય બોલ્યા—પ્રજાનાથ! ત્યાંની ધરતી સર્વત્ર અનેક ટુકડાઓમાં તૂટેલા ધનુષોથી, વરૂથો સહિત તૂટેલા રથોથી, માર્યા ગયેલા રથીઓથી, કાપેલા બાણોથી, કવચોથી, પટ્ટિશોથી, ગદાઓથી, ભિંદિપાલોથી, તીક્ષ્ણ સાયકો થી, છિન્ન-ભિન્ન અનુકર્ષ-ઉપાસંગોથી, ચક્રોથી, કાપેલી બાહોથી, ધનુષોથી, ખડ્ગોથી, કુંડળો સહિત મસ્તકોથી, તલત્રાણોથી, અંગુલિત્રાણોથી, પડેલા ધ્વજોથી—આ બધાથી ઢંકાઈ ગઈ હતી.
