Adhyāya 108 — Nimitta-darśana and Drona’s counsel amid Arjuna’s advance (निमित्तदर्शनं द्रोणोपदेशश्च)
महौघवेगं समरे वारयामास पाण्डव: । मद्रराजं च समरे धर्मराजो महारथ:,उस समय सहसा अपनी ओर आती हुई राजा शल्यकी उस विशाल वाहिनी तथा स्वयं मद्रराजको भी पाण्डुपुत्र महारथी धर्मराज युधिष्ठिरने महान् जल-प्रवाहके समान समरभूमिमें रोक दिया

mahaughavegaṃ samare vārayāmāsa pāṇḍavaḥ |
madra-rājaṃ ca samare dharma-rājo mahā-rathaḥ ||
સમરમાં પાંડવ મહારથી ધર્મરાજ યુધિષ્ઠિરે મહાપ્રવાહના વેગ સમાન ધસી આવતી ચઢાઈ રોકી અને એ જ યુદ્ધમાં મદ્રરાજને પણ અટકાવ્યો।
