भीष्मरथाभिमुख्यं — Arjuna’s advance with Śikhaṇḍin; Duḥśāsana’s interception
रथिनश्न रथैहीना वर्मिणस्तेजसा युता: । कुण्डलोष्णीषिण: सर्वे निष्काड्दविभूषणा:
sañjaya uvāca |
rathinaś ca rathair hīnā varmiṇas tejasā yutāḥ |
kuṇḍaloṣṇīṣiṇaḥ sarve niṣkāṇḍavibhūṣaṇāḥ ||
સંજય બોલ્યા—પ્રજાનાથ! અનેક મહારથીઓ પોતાના રથોથી વંચિત થઈ ગયા હતા. છતાં તેઓ કવચધારી, યુદ્ધતેજથી દીપ્ત, કુંડળ અને ઉષ્ણીષ ધારણ કરેલા; ગળામાં સુવર્ણ નિષ્ક અને ભુજાઓમાં બાહુબંધથી અલંકૃત હતા. રૂપે દેવપુત્ર સમા અને યુદ્ધમાં પરાક્રમે ઇન્દ્રતુલ્ય દેખાતા હતા.
