Educational Q&A

The verse highlights how the use of powerful astras affects not only combatants but the very environment; when the weapon's force passes, calm and clarity return. Ethically, it underscores the Mah01bh01rata's recurring tension: extraordinary power in war demands restraint, because its consequences extend beyond immediate targets.

Sanjaya reports to the king that after Dro47a deploys the Parvat01stra, the wind settles and the ten directions become clear. Immediately after this atmospheric change, the narrative turns to the P01470du-suta (likely Arjuna) moving against the assembled chariot-forces of the Trigartas.
