Adhyāya 90: Babhruvāhana’s Reception and the Commencement of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Aśvamedha
यदा दानरुचि: स्याद् वै तदा धर्मो न सीदति । अनवेक्ष्य सुतस्नेहं कलत्रस्नेहमेव च
yadā dānaruciḥ syād vai tadā dharmo na sīdati | anavekṣya sutasnehaṃ kalatrasnehameva ca ||
જ્યારે દાન કરવાની રુચિ જાગે છે, ત્યારે ધર્મ કદી ઢળી પડતો નથી. પુત્રસ્નેહ અને પત્નીસ્નેહને પણ ધ્યાનમાં લીધા વિના—અર્થાત્ આસક્તિમાં બંધાયા વિના—દાન કરવું જોઈએ.
