Āśvamedhika Parva, Adhyāya 77 — Saindhava resistance, Arjuna’s restraint, and Duḥśalā’s supplication
रासभारुणसंकाशा धनुष्मन्त: सविद्युतः । आवृत्य गगन मेघा मुमुचुर्मासशोणितम्
rāsabhāruṇasaṅkāśā dhanuṣmantaḥ savidyutaḥ | āvṛtya gaganaṃ meghā mumucur māsaśoṇitam ||
વૈશંપાયન બોલ્યા—ગધેડા જેવી ઘેરી છાયા અને લાલિમા મિશ્રિત વર્ણવાળા, ધનુષાકાર વળાંકો ધરાવતા અને વીજળીથી ચમકતા મેઘોએ આકાશ ઢાંકી મांस અને રક્તની વર્ષા શરૂ કરી. આ અત્યંત ભયંકર અપશકુન હતું—પ્રકૃતિની વ્યવસ્થા તૂટી વિનાશ આવવાનો સંકેત.
