पौत्रस्तव महाभागो जनिष्यति महामना: । पृथ्वीं सागरपर्यन्तां पालयिष्यति धर्मत:

Transliteration

pautras tava mahābhāgo janiṣyati mahāmanāḥ | pṛthvīṃ sāgaraparyantāṃ pālayiṣyati dharmataḥ |

Translation

હે કુરુશ્રેષ્ઠ! તને મહાભાગ્યશાળી અને મહામનસ્વી એવો એક પૌત્ર જન્મશે, જે ધર્મપૂર્વક સમુદ્રપર્યંત સમગ્ર પૃથ્વીનું પાલન કરશે. તેથી, હે શત્રુસૂદન, શોક ત્યજી દે; તેમાં વિચારની જરૂર નથી—મારું વચન સત્ય સાબિત થશે।
