Abhimanyunidhana-prakāśaḥ — Vasudeva–Kṛṣṇa–Subhadrā–Kuntī śoka-saṃvāda
Disclosure and Consolation
अकरोत् स ततः काल॑ शरतल्पगतो मुनि: । अयनं दक्षिण हित्वा सम्प्राप्ते चोत्तरायणे
akarot sa tataḥ kālaṁ śaratālpagato muniḥ | ayanaṁ dakṣiṇaṁ hitvā samprāpte cottarāyaṇe ||
વાસુદેવે કહ્યું—પછી બાણશય્યા પર પડેલા તે મુનિએ પોતાના પ્રસ્થાનનો સમય પોતે જ નક્કી કર્યો. સૂર્યનું દક્ષિણાયન ચાલતું હતું ત્યાં સુધી તેણે દેહ ત્યાગ્યો નહીં; તે કાળ પૂરો થઈ ઉત્તરાયન આવ્યું ત્યારે જ તેણે મૃત્યુ સ્વીકાર્યું—વ્રતનિષ્ઠા અને કાળ પર સંયમ દર્શાવતા।
