गौतम उवाच त्वत्प्रीतियुक्तेन मया गुरुशुश्रूषया तव । व्यतिक्रामन्महाकालो नावबुद्धो द्विजर्षभ
Gautama uvāca: tvat-prīti-yuktena mayā guru-śuśrūṣayā tava | vyatikrāman mahā-kālo nāvabuddho dvijarṣabha ||
ગૌતમએ કહ્યું— હે દ્વિજશ્રેષ્ઠ! તારી ગુરુશુશ્રૂષાથી મારા હૃદયમાં તારા પ્રત્યે વિશેષ સ્નેહ ઊપજ્યો; તેથી એટલો મહાકાળ વીતી ગયો, છતાં મને તેનું ભાન જ રહ્યું નહીં.
