Educational Q&A

The verse emphasizes ethical deference to trustworthy counselors: one should act promptly in accordance with those who genuinely seek the welfare of the family and uphold dharma, treating such well-wishers as worthy of honor.

In the Ashramavāsika context, decisions are being made about what should be done next for the Kuru household after the war. The speaker declares readiness to carry out the guidance of respected figures like Yuyutsu and Sañjaya, recognizing them as sincere well-wishers of the lineage.
