Vyāsa’s Boon-Offer and Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Remorse in the Forest Assembly (आश्रमवासिक पर्व, अध्याय ३६)
राजन मृत्युरनिष्टोडयं भविता ते वृथाग्निना । न चोपायं प्रपश्यामि मोक्षणे जातवेदस:
rājan mṛtyur aniṣṭo 'yaṃ bhavitā te vṛthāgninā | na copāyaṃ prapaśyāmi mokṣaṇe jātavedasaḥ ||
રાજન! આ સામાન્ય વનાગ્નિથી તમારું મૃત્યુ થવું અનુચિત છે. પરંતુ આ જ્વલંત જાતવેદસ્ (અગ્નિ)માંથી મુક્તિનો કોઈ ઉપાય મને દેખાતો નથી.
