धृतराष्ट्रस्य पाण्डवेषु प्रीति-वृत्तान्तः | Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Affectionate Disposition toward the Pāṇḍavas
न कामये नरश्रेष्ठ जीवितं पृथिवीं तथा । यथा तव प्रियं राज॑ंश्विकीर्षामि परंतप,'नरश्रेष्ठ! मैं न तो जीवन चाहता हूँ न पृथ्वीका राज्य। परंतप नरेश! जिस तरह भी आपका प्रिय हो, वही मैं करना चाहता हूँ
na kāmaye naraśreṣṭha jīvitaṃ pṛthivīṃ tathā | yathā tava priyaṃ rājan śvikīrṣāmi parantapa ||
હે નરશ્રેષ્ઠ! મને ન તો જીવનની ઇચ્છા છે, ન તો પૃથ્વીના રાજ્યની. હે પરંતપ રાજન! તમને જે પ્રિય હોય, તે જ હું કરવા ઇચ્છું છું.
