स वर्द्धमानद्वारेण निर्ययौ गजसाह्दयात् । विसर्जयामास च तं जनौघं स मुहुर्मुहु:
sa varddhamāna-dvāreṇa niryayau gaja-sāhvayāt | visarjayāmāsa ca taṃ janaughaṃ sa muhur muhuḥ ||
રાજા ધૃતરાષ્ટ્ર ‘વર્ધમાન’ નામના દ્વારથી ગજસાહ્વય (હસ્તિનાપુર)માંથી બહાર નીકળ્યા. બહાર પહોંચીને તેમણે વારંવાર આગ્રહપૂર્વક સાથે આવેલા જનસમૂહને વિદાય કર્યો।
