छत्रोपानहदानफलप्रशंसा — Praise of the Merit of Donating Umbrella and Footwear
जातकर्माणि सर्वाणि व्रतोपनयनानि च । गोदानानि विवाहाश्न तथा यज्ञसमृद्धयः
jātakarmāṇi sarvāṇi vratopanayanāni ca | godānāni vivāhāś ca tathā yajñasamṛddhayaḥ ||
ભીષ્મ બોલ્યા—જાતકર્મથી આરંભ કરીને વ્રત, ઉપનયન, ગોદાન, વિવાહ તથા યજ્ઞોની સમૃદ્ધિ—આ બધા કાર્યો અન્નના આધારથી જ સિદ્ધ થાય છે; કારણ કે પ્રાણીઓનું ધારણ અન્નથી જ થાય છે.
