The Duty to Fulfill Promised Gifts
न हर्तव्यं विप्रधन क्षन्तव्यं तेषु नित्यश: । बालाश्व नावमन्तव्या दरिद्रा: कृपणा अपि
na hartavyaṃ vipradhanaṃ kṣantavyaṃ teṣu nityaśaḥ | bālāś ca nāvamantavyā daridrāḥ kṛpaṇā api ||
બ્રાહ્મણનું ધન કદી હરણ કરવું નહીં. તેઓ અપરાધ કરે તો પણ હંમેશાં તેમના પ્રત્યે ક્ષમાભાવ રાખવો. તેઓ બાળ હોય, દરિદ્ર હોય કે દીન હોય—તોય તેમનો અનાદર ન કરવો.
