Śrāddha-Kalpa: Pitṛ-Pūjā and Tithi-Phala (श्राद्धकल्पः पितृपूजा च तिथिफलम्)
रुद्रस्तु तेजो5प्रतिमं धारयामास वै तदा । प्रस्कन्नं तु ततस्तस्मात् किंचित्तत्रापतद् भुवि
rudras tu tejo 'pratimaṃ dhārayāmāsa vai tadā | praskannaṃ tu tatas tasmāt kiñcit tatrāpatad bhuvi ||
ભીષ્મે કહ્યું— તે સમયે રુદ્રદેવે પોતાનું અપ્રતિમ તેજ (વીર્ય) સંયમમાં રાખ્યું; છતાં તેમાંનો થોડોક અંશ સ્ખલિત થઈ ત્યાં જ ધરતી પર પડી ગયો.
