गोशकृन्माहात्म्य-प्रश्नः (On the Merit of Cow-Dung and the Abode of Śrī) / Inquiry into the Sanctity of Cow-Dung
महर्षि वशिष्ठका राजा सौदाससे गौओंका माहात्म्य-कथन युवानमिन्द्रियोपेतं शतेन शतयूथपम् । गवेन्द्रं ब्राह्मणेन्द्राय भूरिशंगमलड्कृतम्
yuvānam indriyopetaṁ śatena śatayūthapam | gavendraṁ brāhmaṇendrāya bhūriśaṅgam alaṅkṛtam ||
ભીષ્મે કહ્યું—શત્રુઓને સંતાપ આપનાર રાજન! જે લોકો યુવાન, સર્વ ઇન્દ્રિયોથી સંપન્ન, સો ગાયોના યુથપતિ, મોટા શિંગવાળા ગવેન્દ્ર વૃષભને સુશોભિત કરીને સો ગાયો સહિત શ્રોત્રિય બ્રાહ્મણને દાન આપે છે, તેઓ જ્યારે-જ્યારે આ લોકમાં જન્મે છે, ત્યારે-ત્યારે મહાન ઐશ્વર્યના ભાગી બને છે.
