Go-apahāra (Cattle Theft), Go-dāna (Cow-Gift), and Suvarṇa-dakṣiṇā (Gold Fee): Karmic Consequence and Purificatory Merit
प्रयत्नं तत्र कुर्वाणास्तस्मात् कूपाज्जलार्थिन: । श्रमेण महता युक्तास्तस्मिंस्तोये सुसंवृते
prayatnaṁ tatra kurvāṇās tasmāt kūpāj jalārthinaḥ | śrameṇa mahatā yuktās tasmiṁs toye susaṁvṛte
ભીષ્મે કહ્યું—અતએવ તે કૂવામાંથી પાણી ઇચ્છનારાઓ ત્યાં દૃઢ પ્રયત્ન કરતા. મહાન શ્રમથી થાકી ગયા છતાં તેઓ પ્રયત્ન છોડતા નહીં; કારણ કે તે કૂવાનું પાણી અંદર મજબૂતીથી આવૃત હતું અને સહેલાઈથી મળતું ન હતું।
