Karma-Phala Rahasya and the Ethics of Dāna (कर्मफल-रहस्यं दानधर्मश्च)
इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत अनुशासनपर्वके अन्तर्गत दानधर्मपर्वमें दैव और पुरुषार्थका निर्देशविषयक छठा अध्याय पूरा हुआ
cakṣur dadyān mano dadyād vācaṃ dadyāc ca sūnṛtām | anuvrajed upāsīta sa yajñaḥ pañca-dakṣiṇaḥ ||
ભીષ્મે કહ્યું—અતિથિ આવે તો તેને પ્રસન્ન નજરે જોવો, સેવામાં મન આપવું, મધુર અને સત્ય વાણી બોલવી; તે જાય ત્યારે થોડું દૂર સુધી સાથે જવું અને તે રહે ત્યાં સુધી સન્માન-સત્કારમાં તત્પર રહેવું. ગૃહસ્થ માટે આ પાંચ કર્મ પાંચ દક્ષિણાવાળો યજ્ઞ છે.
