दानफलप्रकरणम् — उपानहदानं, तिलदानं, भूमिदानं, गोदानं, अन्नदानं च
Gifts and Their Stated Results: Footwear, Sesame, Land, Cows, and Food
य एतां विदुषे दद्यात् पृथिवीं पृथिवीपति: । पृथिव्यामेतदिष्टं स राजा राज्यमितो व्रजेत्
ya etāṁ viduṣe dadyāt pṛthivīṁ pṛthivīpatiḥ | pṛthivyām etad iṣṭaṁ sa rājā rājyam ito vrajet ||
ભીષ્મે કહ્યું—જે પૃથ્વીપતિ રાજા આ ભૂમિ કોઈ વિદ્વાન બ્રાહ્મણને દાન આપે છે, તે રાજા—કારણ કે ભૂમિદાન પૃથ્વી પર સર્વाधिक પ્રિય માનવામાં આવે છે—આ દાનના પ્રભાવથી અહીંથી પ્રસ્થાન કરતી વેળાએ ફરી પોતાનું રાજ્ય પ્રાપ્ત કરીને જાય છે.
