Adhyāya 59: On Giving to the Asker and Supporting the Non-asking (याचक-अयाचक-दाने धर्मः)
बाढमेवं करिष्यामि काम त्वत्तो महामुने । ब्रह्मभूतं कुलं मे5स्तु धर्मे चास्य मनो भवेत्
bāḍham evaṁ kariṣyāmi kāma tvatto mahāmune | brahmabhūtaṁ kulaṁ me 'stu dharme cāsya mano bhavet ||
રાજા બોલ્યા—“સારું, હું એમ જ કરીશ. પરંતુ, હે મહામુને, હું આપ પાસેથી એક વર માગું છું—મારું કુળ બ્રાહ્મણસ્વભાવવાળું બને અને તેનું મન સદા ધર્મમાં સ્થિર રહે।”
