च्यवन-कुशिक-संवादः

आत्मवद्‌ वै प्रयुड्जीरन्‌ संस्कारान्‌ ब्राह्मणादय: । धर्मशास्त्रेषु वर्णानां निश्चयो<यं प्रदृश्यते

ātmavad vai prayuñjīran saṃskārān brāhmaṇādayaḥ | dharmaśāstreṣu varṇānāṃ niścayo 'yaṃ pradṛśyate ||

ભીષ્મે કહ્યું— બ્રાહ્મણ વગેરે વર્ણોએ પોતાના માટે જેમ સંસ્કારો કરાય તેમ જ પોતાના પુત્રો માટે પણ વિહિત સંસ્કારો કરાવવા જોઈએ. વર્ણોના સંસ્કારો વિષે ધર્મશાસ્ત્રોમાં આ જ સ્થિર નિશ્ચય દેખાય છે.
