Ānṛśaṃsya–Bhakti: Śukaḥ Śakreṇa Parīkṣitaḥ
Compassion and Devotion—The Parrot Tested by Indra
तस्मिन् वक्षे तथाभूते कोटरेषु चिरोषित: । न जहाति शुको वासं तस्य भक्त्या वनस्पते:
tasmin vakṣe tathābhūte koṭareṣu ciroṣitaḥ | na jahāti śuko vāsaṃ tasya bhaktyā vanaspateḥ ||
વૃક્ષની એવી હાલત થઈ છતાં, તેના ખોખલામાં લાંબા સમયથી વસતો તોતો પોતાનું નિવાસ છોડતો ન હતો. તે વનસ્પતિ પ્રત્યેની ભક્તિ અને આસક્તિના કારણે, વૃક્ષ સૂકાતું હોવા છતાં પણ ત્યાં જ રહ્યો.
